This unit is responsible for managing the County's legislative programs in Sacramento and Washington DC. It includes developing the County's Legislative Session Program, initiating legislation and monitoring State and Federal legislation and budget issues that affect the County. In addition, special projects of an intergovernmental nature are staffed by the unit, including grants.

State Senate

Senator Jerry Hill
District 13:The district consists of San Mateo County south of SD 11 and northern Santa Clara County, including Mountain View and Sunnyvale. This district keeps the San Mateo coastline from Pacifica to the Ano Nuevo State Reserve and Peninsula cities from South San Francisco to Sunnyvale together. South San Francisco is the only city split to achieve population equality.
