Census Ambassadors Pilot Training Program

The County of San Mateo and the San Mateo Adult School (SMAS) are partnering to pilot a Census Ambassador training program for volunteers who want to educate fellow residents about Census 2020 and serve as a resource in their communities.  Census Ambassadors will be an important component of ensuring that census information and support reach ALL residents across the county.

From June - August 2019, we will be getting feedback on training content, materials, and other outreach support needed from our pilot group, who are all enrolled in English as a Second Language (ESL) courses at SMAS.  Based on our learnings, the Census Ambassador program will be launched in Fall 2019. For more information about the program, please email smc_census@smcgov.org
