Include Take A Hike in Your Holiday Plans -- Visit San Pedro Valley Park on Saturday, July 5
Posted by Michelle Durand on Jul 3rd 2014
Why not make Take A Hike part of your holiday weekend plans? This month’s hike will be at San Pedro Valley Park, 600 Oddstad Boulevard in Pacifica.
The park offers more than 1,000 lush acres, miles of hiking trails, several year-round creeks and a Visitor Center with exhibits about the Park’s natural history.
Our hikes begin in front of the Visitor Center at 9 a.m. This month, rangers will offer two hike routes. The longest hike will be approximately 2.3 miles long with the chance to take in views of Pacifica’s coastline. Our second hike will be a little more than 1.5 miles long with minimal incline.
Please dress in layers as the morning can start off cool, but become warm as the day progresses. Water, granola bars and fruit will be provided.
For driving directions, visit www.SMCoParks.org -- see you at San Pedro Valley Park this Saturday.
Take A Hike is a series of hikes that encourages you to discover a County Park on the first Saturday of each month, April through October.
